Danton is a character born from a prompt during a summer program before I entered college. “If you could have a toy that would be with you forever, what would it be?”
What medium is Danton? Is it a comic? A podcast? A cartoon?
Time and time again, he has been written and rewritten. Sketched, inked, posted, and scrapped. For the life of me, I could not figure out how to tell an ongoing tale without reaching burnout or dealing with constant health issues. As a result, this website is now where my stories of him and his friends can be any form it wants. Any time frame it wants. Releasing me from the burden of perfection. No matter how he looks or sounds, I hope you enjoy the various ways his story is portrayed.
The protagonist of the story. He's a naive robot, who often gets into trouble, yet his sweet nature also gets him out of trouble, with the help of his friends.
Iola is more jaded, as working as a reaper has let them see too much of people's worst moments. Yet, somewhat against their will, they found themself looking after Danton from time to time.
An old wind-up Automaton who uses a single wheel to move around. She can be a little reserved, but has a huge soft spot for cute things like Danton!
